Bring your knitting, crochet, or embroidery projects and craft alongside other fiber art enthusiasts! We ask that you sign up before hand so we have a headcount and suggest a $5 donation to the Tamaqua Art Center. Two-Day Hand Building Workshop: Pumpkin Jar
Saturday, September 12th 11am - 2pm for creating the jar
Saturday, September 19th 11am - 1pm for glazing
Join local teaching artist Abby Shumgart for a 2-week pottery hand building class. A great class for beginning potters and intermediates looking for a refresher. This 2-week class will start with learning to shape and create your own pumpkin jar day one. On day two, you get to paint your jar using our glazes.
Please bring your own towel, don’t wear dangling jewelry or flowy sleeves, long hair should be pulled back and please, no flip flops! The floors can get slippery. If you have very long nails, you may find hand building difficult. Be prepared to get dirty, but the good news is, the clay washes right out of your clothes!

Painting Like Bob Ross is back at Tamaqua Arts Center this September! Enjoy a morning of painting “happy little trees” with our talented instructor. No experience is required, making this a fun and beginner friendly class with all the supplies and instruction provided. Bring your friends, your favorite snacks, and your creativity to this fun-filled morning at the Tamaqua Arts Center!

Perfect for beginners, those with limited mobility, or anyone seeking a slower, supportive practice.

Turkish Mosaic Lamp

Create your own beautiful Turkish mosaic lamp using colorful glass tiles and beads. Choose from a variety of colors and patterns to design a lamp that reflects your personal style. This beginner-friendly workshop includes all materials and step-by-step instruction.
Your finished lamp features a sturdy metal base and comes with an electrical cord and convenient on/off button switch, ready to use and enjoy at home.

The Last Five Years is an intimate and emotionally powerful musical that explores the rise and fall of a relationship from two very different perspectives.
Written and composed by Jason Robert Brown, the story follows Cathy, a struggling actress, and Jamie, a rising novelist, as they navigate love, ambition, success, disappointment, and the challenges of building a life together. Jamie’s story moves forward from the beginning of their relationship, while Cathy’s story moves backward from its end—meeting only once in the middle.
For this production, Center Stage Community Theatre presents two distinct casts, giving audiences the opportunity to experience two different interpretations of Cathy and Jamie’s story.
