The Last Five Years

The Last Five Years is an intimate and emotionally powerful musical that explores the rise and fall of a relationship from two very different perspectives.

Written and composed by Jason Robert Brown, the story follows Cathy, a struggling actress, and Jamie, a rising novelist, as they navigate love, ambition, success, disappointment, and the challenges of building a life together. Jamie’s story moves forward from the beginning of their relationship, while Cathy’s story moves backward from its end—meeting only once in the middle.

For this production, Center Stage Community Theatre presents two distinct casts, giving audiences the opportunity to experience two different interpretations of Cathy and Jamie’s story.
